The Colonel Jackson

The Colonel Jackson

The Colonel Jackson rocker is named after Col. Bill Jackson, US Army (Vietnam era helicopter battalion commander), who bought the first one. This rocker is inspired by the Windsor style. It is much larger then a classic Windsor; laminated parts are used throughout construction. The seat starts out as 30 or so pieces of wood. The most popular design uses walnut, cherry or other wood with contrasting woods as the back supports. The mix of walnut and maple or sassafras and walnut is striking.
