From
the workshop of Fred Friar comes a collection of
rocking chair designs, each one original, and no two are exactly alike. There
is nothing unusual or unique about the way the rockers are made. We are not
purest, we use power tools, hand tools, glue, screws, and sandpaper. Some
parts are steam bent, others are laminated. The finish is always hand rubbed
oil. As much as possible, only locally grown West Virginia hardwoods are
used. The wood is bought green, fresh off the mill, and air dried. |
